FAQ: Uncovering the Vintage Computer Secrets

Your questions about the Vintage Computer Museum answered.

We appreciate your curiosity about the Vintage Computer Museum! Here are some answers to frequently asked questions to help you better understand our museum and our mission.

VCM - FAQ

Is the museum open to the public?

Unfortunately, the museum is not open to the public. Renting a space in Toronto large enough to accommodate our collection and properly display it would be very costly, and is only feasible with significant sponsorship from a large company.

Are you affiliated with the Vintage Computer Museum eBay store?

No, we are not affiliated with the Vintage Computer Museum eBay store, which is based in the United States. We are located in Toronto, Canada. Please note that any confusion, such as the mistaken contact from the IRS (USA revenue agency), is purely coincidental.

Do you sell any of the vintage computer systems displayed online?

We do not sell any of the systems or accessories displayed online. In the past, we have sold a few items locally, but only when they were duplicates or not needed for our collection. Proceeds from these sales were used to support the museum.

Can I volunteer for the Museum?

We occasionally welcome people to our shop to share our passion for vintage computers. However, due to the limited space in our shop and our busy schedules, it’s challenging to accommodate more than one extra person at a time or to set regular volunteer opportunities.

Can I donate my old computer to the Museum?

Yes, we gladly accept donations of vintage computer systems. For more details on how to donate, please visit our dedicated donation page.

Can I find you on social media?

Yes, you can connect with us on various social media platforms. We have dedicated Facebook Pages, Instagram, and a YouTube channel. Be sure to follow us to stay updated on our latest news and projects!
